Deliverable 4: Software Test Plan and Findings
This document provides an outline for the Software Test Plan. Use this outline
to structure the test plan for your software. The Software Test Plan provides
a detailed description of the procedures, methods, and data used to test the
software. It is expected that you will conduct both black- and white-box testing.
This deliverable will detail the process of testing as well as the findings.
Please note, errors that are detected during the execution of the test plan
should be reported. An ideal response would follow the outline below and contain
section headings, subheadings, and contents corresponding to each item.

1 Scope of Testing
At a high level, identify
- What will be tested
- What will be the testing approach
- What are the test constraints
2 Test Plan
- Test Phases and builds
- Schedule for testing
- Environment and resources
3 Test Procedure n (Description of the test for each build n)
- Order of integration. Describe the order in which the software modules will
be integrated and tested.
- Unit tests for modules in the build (for each module, what will the test be
at build n and what results are expected from the module)
- Test environment (any special tools needed)
- Test case data (specifically and precisely describe the test data sets and any
scenarios for usage)
- Expected results for test case n
4 Actual test results
5 Appendices
- Include any supporting materials that are not appropriately referenced elsewhere.
- Personnel evaluations by each member of each member, including a summary score
of the performance of each group member.
