Notice: The following represents initial plans for parking during MIFLC 2001 but is subject to change as plans are finalized.
PARKING ON THE UNCW CAMPUS
MIFLC 2001 scholarly sessions will be held in Lakeside Hall, a new classroom-office building not yet shown on campus maps. It is located next to Morton Hall and near Bear Hall and Friday Hall.
The conference is being held during UNCW's Fall Break, so parking should not be a problem. For events held in Lakeside Hall and/or nearby Morton Hall, you may park in student spaces (white lines only) in Lot H which is located across Randall Drive from the University water tower and Friday Hall. Access to this lot is further down Randall on the left. For events held in Warwick Center, please use Lot E.
In general, spaces marked with yellow lines are for faculty and staff and should be avoided since many faculty and staff members will be working during Fall Break. Permits for the parking lots designated will be made available.
You may wish to look at various campus maps in order to orient yourself and see the location of parking lots in relation to the buildings that will serve as Conference sites. The new building, which will be the main Conference site, is not shown on current maps but is located next to Morton Hall (number 9) on the Academic Facilities map. Warwick Center, where the wine and cheese reception and the banquet will be held, is number 7 on the Administration and Support Services map. Another campus map and a general Wilmington-area map are included in the registration packet.
