Components of the Product:
  1. Materials should include objectives, pre-and-post assessment, and the actual instruction.
  2. The instruction should follow the instructional model and strategies established for the unit as described in the product report I.  Following are some general guidelines. Depending on the instructional model that you have used to design and develop your instructional materials, you may need to add other criteria or modify some of the following criteria:
  • Within the content to be taught, have adequate motivation and attention getting ideas been targeted to the characteristics of the identified learners?
  • Have learners been informed of necessary prerequisite knowledge or skills?
  • Have learners been informed about what they will be learning?
  • Have ideas and concepts been presented in a logical sequence?
  • Has enough explanation/directions been provided for the learners to actually learn the ideas, concepts, and skills or to know how to learn them?
  • Are there accurate and adequate examples of ideas, concepts, and skills being taught included in the content?
  • Are there activities to provide learners with the opportunity to practice skills?
  • Is adequate and appropriate feedback provided to learner's responses to the practice activities?
