Getting Started Checklist

 

1)   Read the document, “Who Should or Should not Take This course”

2)   Read the syllabus carefully.  It contains important information about how this course works and how you will be graded. It is critical to your success that you understand the course set-up, the grading process, and the late policies.

3)   Purchase your MyITLab Access code. Click here for online purchasing instructions

4)   Configure your computer for MyITLab:

·         Windows Users: Go to http://www.myitlab.com/Home_Computer_Set-Up, download, and install the necessary files.  Make any suggested configuration changes.

·         Mac Users: See http://people.uncw.edu/mferner/CSC105OL/MyITLab_for_Mac.pdf

·         Call tech support: 1-800-677-6337 if you have any problems

5)   Enroll in the MyITLab course. (Course ID has been sent via e-mail.)  For help with the enrollment process see the MyITLab Getting Started Guide

7)   Activate the four textbooks: Technology in Action, Exploring Word, Exploring Excel, and Exploring PowerPoint
