Biology 110: Principles of Biology
Welcome to Dr. Lankford's Biology 110: Principles of Biology webpage. This course is designed to provide an introduction to the major themes in biology. It is intended primarily for students majoring in biology.
Biology 110 deals primarily with life at the level of molecules and cells, and with genetics. The themes to be covered in Bio 110, although simplified, will be encountered often as you take more advanced courses towards your biology degree. It is therefore important that you strive to comprehend and appreciate these themes, and that you work diligently to develop a foundation on which you can place the many new concepts that you will learn while pursuing your biology degree.
Our goal is therefore to synthesize a coherent view of life that will serve you throughout your coursework as biology majors!
