Research Overview:
Our lab specializes in metabolic biochemistry and physiology, with particular emphasis on skeletal muscle from marine and terrestrial organisms. One of the primary goals of our research is to understand biochemical processes as they occur in living cells, tissues and organisms. We employ a variety of techniques including in vivo nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), cDNA microarrays, laser scanning confocal microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, western blotting and other standard biochemical assays.
