Hello, esteemed NCTAN teachers,  UNC-Chapel Hill is having a symposium called

2008 Symposium on Asia in the Curriculum

September 26-28,

at the FedEx Global Education Center, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Mr. and Ms. Freeman are coming to attend also.  As you know they are the founder of the NCTAN program and the study tour to East Asia.  UNC just made the symposium available fro NC teachers.  The registration (that is now over $130) is waved to North Carolina teachers.  If you would like to attend, please fill out the attached form (if you did not get the attachment, you can download from my NCTAN web site homepage also. )

UNC can issue a letter to show your attendance so you can use it to receive continuing education credit if you request.  But the most importantly, we would like you to come and meet Mr. & Mrs. Freeman and thank them personally to show how much NC teachers are interested in East Asia and future seminars.  

Please e-mail the attached registration form to Bogdan Leja at Leja@email.unc.edu as soon as you can to have your name badge ready at the conference.  Bring your colleagues also (even though they are not NCTAN alumni or participants).   We would like a strong presence of NC teachers in the symposium.
