It's fun, my kids love it and they learn the countries in eastern Asia

in a class period. I start at the top of the map. You only have to review a couple of times and they get it.

-       This one is Mongolia - think of it as the first one and "go man, go!"

-       This is China, it's so big, if you dropped it, it would break like a piece of china.

-       These are the Koreas; they look like the letter K.

-       This is Japan. it looks like the letter J

-       This is the island of Taiwan. China WANTS to TIE it to them.

-       The next four are hard so you Must Learn Very Carefully. They are Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

-       Thailand lies in the middle and TIES the land together.

-       Malaysia LAYS in two parts.

-       This is Singapore, POOR little Singapore, it is so small.

-       This is Brunei, I call it "Puney Bruney" (I may be pronouncing this wrong, I have heard it pronounced ending with a long e sound and long I sound. I use the long E because it rhymes)

-       Use your southern accent here - At the E-ND of the map is Indonesia.

-       And lastly, the Philippines FILLS in this empty area here.
