JPN 202 Intermediate Japanese II

Course Calendar
This is the last semester of Japanese language courses for everyone. We hope that this semester will start preparing you to be a life-long self-learners and continue learning Japanese on your own by using reference books, dictionaries, on-line resources, and other tools.
Week 1 through 9:Preparing
you for the Final Project.
During this time, you will review and be introduced to topics
such as family members and different generations, around town, transportation system, climate,
clothing, shopping, prices, stores, & etc.
Through studying these topics you will get some ideas for your Final Project.
Week 10 through 15: Working on the Final
Project and presentation of the Final Project via videoconference with Japanese peers in Japan.
During these weeks, you will create your
Final Project, which is to create a web site in Japanese to introduce our
city, regions, and/or state, etc. Comparative observation of differences
and similarities between Japanese culture and culture of your own can be also a
project. At the end of this semester, you
will present your web site (the Final Project) via
videoconference with Japanese students in Mie University, Japan .So let's get ready for it!
Assignment Submission Requirement:
All the assignments (except translation) must be submitted as attachments of
a UNCW e-mail unless other
options are notified. A submission via any other e-mail system may not be considered as an assignment submission. All the
first writing assignments are
due at noon of Wednesdays of the week and the
final revised hand-written assignment must to be completed by 3:00 p.m. of Friday of the
week to receive credits.
