UNCW Named A “Best Value” Public College by Princeton Review
For the fourth consecutive year, UNCW has been named one of the nation’s “Best Value” Public Colleges and Universities by The Princeton Review. UNCW was named to Princeton Review’s 2012 list, released Feb. 7, and was previously listed on the “Best Values” lists for 2011, 2010 and 2009.
Seniors Invited to Cut Loose with Students at Annual Dance Feb. 9
Local senior adults are invited to dance the night away with more than 200 student volunteers at UNCW’s 18th annual Young at Heart Social, 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9 in the Burney Center. The free event will include live music, refreshments and take-home Valentine's Day photos.
Travel the World in Six Days with Annual Intercultural Week, Feb. 13-18
The 19th Annual UNCW Intercultural Week will be celebrated beginning Monday, Feb. 13. Nearly thirty events will explore the diversity of the world during iWeek, culminating with the annual Intercultural Festival on Feb. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Award-winning Author Bencastro Speaks Out Against Injustice Feb. 15
Hispanic author Mario Bencastro will speak about the Latin American Diaspora and the injustice and violence of war suffered by Salvadorians at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15, in CIS Room 1008. Bencastro's short stories, novels and plays have been published internationally.
