Mid-Term Exam #1
The first Mid-Term Exam is tentatively scheduled for Monday September 29, 2003 and will last the entire class period. Check the announcement page for changes in the exam schedule. A review sheet will be posted on this site approximately one week before the exam. The exam will consist of 8 short answer (40% or 8 @ 5 points each) and 2 essay questions (60% or 2 @ 30 points each)

Mid-Term Exam #2
The second Mid-Term Exam is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday November 19, 2003 and will last the entire class period. Check the announcement page for changes in the exam schedule. A review sheet will be posted on this site approximately one week before the exam. The exam will consist of 5 short answer (30% or 5 @ 6 points each) and 2 essay questions (70% or 2 @ 35 points each).

Final Exam
The final exam will be a take home exam or will be similar in format to the mid-terms but be longer and comprehensive. The decision about whether to give a take-home final exam or a regular final exam will be based on how well the class does on the two mid-terms. If a take-home final exam is given, it will be due at the end of the scheduled exam period - 2:30 on December 8, 2003. The take home final exam question(s) and associated readings will be available approximately one week before the end of class.
