Research and classroom applications in early childhood, elementary, and middle school teaching and learning, particularly in the areas of mathematics and educational equity, with special interest in:
  • Pre-service and in-service teacher education
  • Quantitative literacy
  • Spatial abilities
  • Impact of intellectual development on ability to implement best teaching practices in mathematics
  • Teaching mathematics for social equity
  • Relationship between socio-economic status and academic achievement
