The required text is a set of notes that I am editing at this time. You will find the first few chapters at http://people.uncw.edu/hermanr/mat463/ODEBook/index.htm. You should begin reading the first chapter.  Additional material will be posted by the time you need it.

The first assignment will be to email me with whatever you wish to tell me and how we can establish communication as soon as possible. I am interested in your success in the course and to make sure you know what I expect. Class is at 1:00 pm three days a week and I expect you there. I will have standing office hours, but I will answer emails, set up additional appointments if possible, and do what I can to help you through the course.

By now you should know your way around the Math department and other resources on campus. I hope we have an enjoyable semester and I will see you on Wednesday.
