In prose, present the title, author and year published. If the book won any awards, mention them here. Give a one or two sentence description of the book. Explain why the book is important. Think about its cultural, intellectual, scientific and social significance. Provide some context for the book. Why was it written? Who is the audience? Is the author responding or reacting to any particular author, movement, tradition?
For each chapter, write a few sentences describing its content. Now, if you were teaching this book to a class, what questions would you want your students to ponder for that chapter? Create 1-2 questions for each chapter. Provide brief answers to each.
What are the themes of the book? What should readers take away after reading this book?
