The Weekly Study Guide provides detailed information about each week of the course.

You can navigate to the Weekly Study Guide by following these steps:


The Required Reading section lists reading assignments from the course textbook (Lubkin), electronic reserve articles, or other sources, e.g. the assigned book by Bauby.

  1. You can purchase the required textbook (Lubkin) either from the UNCW Bookstore or an online vendor such as Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble.
  2. Check to determine whether the assigned book by Bauby, The Diving Bell and The Butterfly is available to you, either from Randall Library at UNCW or from the Community College library in your area. It is possible to order the book from an online vendor.
  3. You can use Randall Library's Interlibrary Loan or a similar service at your area Community College to obtain other books.
  4. Assigned articles are available online through the Randall Library website


Optional readings are for additional information and/or enrichment.

Study questions are available to help the student focus thinking about assigned readings. It is not necessary to submit responses to study questions.
