Laura received her B.A. from UNCW in 2006 and her M.A. in Psychology in 2009. Laura has worked in the psychopharmacology lab for about four years, studying a wide variety of pharmaceuticals including MDMA (ecstasy), methamphetamine, methylphenidate (Ritalin), and morphine across a wide variety of spatial (Morris swim task, spatial memory span) and non-spatial olfactory tasks (olfactory memory span, repeated acquisitions procedure, and matching-to-sample/delayed MTS). For her masters thesis work, Laura studied the effects of NMDA antagonists on an olfactory delayed match-to-sample task in rats. Laura's other psychology interests include behavioral pharmacology, neuroscience, and animal behavior.
