Lucia Lazarowski
Lucia received her Bachelor's in psychology degree from UNCW in 2007, and completed the Master's program in experimental psychology in 2010. For her Master's thesis, she worked in the animal behavior and cognition laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Kate Bruce studying abstract concept learning in rats. Specifically, she examined the effects of set size on the acquisition of identity and oddity discriminations using olfactory stimuli. After completing the Master's program she taught undergraduate courses in Introductory Psychology and Principles of Behavior Change at UNCW for several semesters. She then accepted a position as a Research Specialist at North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. After 3 years at NCSU studying canine behavior, cognition, and olfaction, she joined the doctoral program in psychology at Auburn University where she is currently pursuing her PhD in Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences studying canine cognition.
