This was a small drift run in to the hillside in search of galena along the uppermost opening of an east-west crevice. The trace of the crevice could be seen along the full length of the roof of the drift and it did carry a thin sheet of galena for most of the distance. Just down the slop a short distance for the adit was a shaft that was still open in the 1960s. This was about four feet square and about 30 feet deep. There was no tunnel at the bottom of the shaft. The immediate area around this site has numerous mineral holes and several other shafts, all filled in. The dumps of all these have small amounts of cog galena.
