General Location: SW1/4 NE1/4 SE1/4 sec. 35 T. 89 N. R. 2 E.
Description: This is a really small cave or prospect. It was probably opened in the 19th century in the attempt to find ore at the west end of Hamilton Crevice. The cave was later used in the early 20th century as a root cellar and storm shelter by my grandfather who's original home was situated a few tens of yards away. There is no indication of ore minerals in or around the cave. When the site was visited in the Fall of 2002 no trace of the cave or the old home site could be found beyond the ruins of a cistern which was at the edge of a hiking trail.
