Becker Quarry Cave #2

General Location: x

Description: This is a small drift which was located in the New Becker Quarry on the north side of Kaufmann Avenue. It consists of a east-west drift less than three feet by four feet which runs west for about 75 feet where it ends at a 25 foot deep drop shaft. The drop shaft does not intersect any other tunnels. The whole tunnel was hand dug by the miners in search of galena.  Small amounts of which were seen in the sediment of the floor. The tunnel seems to be along the top most part of the crevice as the drop shaft just went down through loose dirt or typical crevice fill.
