This semester we will engage the fascinating topic of Amazons -- who they were,  the myths and realities; how the image of the Amazon has grown and changed over time; and what it all means.  This is a research-oriented course, and our ultimate goal is to create a web site to pass on the information we uncover in the course of the semster.  Home is this page.  Syllabus is the Goals and Requirements of this course in more detail.  Assignments is where you get daily assignments, discussion topics, etc.  Important Information gives details of research projects and other written assignments.  Internet Resources gives some of the most important links for our research, but is always under construction, to incorporate your internet finds.  Student-Authored Site is not up yet because we have not yet written it -- but once we do, it will be a resource for other Amazon researchers!
