Vocabulary from Disce 24-29
give Latin to English translations
give Latin dictionary form for a word encountered in a passage
Deponent Verbs (Disce 24)
know and use the most important deponent verbs (from the vocabulary)
recognize deponent verbs from dictionary form
translate deponent verbs in reading
do a synopsis of deponent verbs (i.e. passive forms)
Puffy verbs:
recognize and translate the ablative direct objects in reading
Semi-deponent verbs:
recognize them from dictionary form and translate them in reading
4th and 5th declensions:
recognize & translate forms of these nouns in reading
define their GNC in reading
choose adjectives to agree in multiple choice
Participles:
form the present active, perfect passive, and future active participles
recognize participles and their nouns in reading
recognize participle phrases within sentences
identify perfect passive (and future active) participles from their dictionary form
Ablative absolutes
recognize ablative absolutes in reading
translate ablative absolutes both literally and idiomatically
Special verbs
identify & translate forms of fio in reading
recognize when videor (passive of video) means “seem”
Perfect Passives
know the perfect passive system
be able to include the perfect passive in verb synopses
Infinitives
form & translate all five infinitives from a dictionary form; recognize infinitives in multiple choice and readings
Indirect statement
recognize indirect statement in reading
translate it in reading
