The goal of this seminar to to discover new and interesting things about the psychology of art through intense discussion of published papers on the topic. However, unlike most other cognitive processes (e.g., memory, language, imagery, etc.), there has been relatively little research addressing art and psychology. Therefore, we read papers written by psychologists, sociologists, art historians, artists, etc. This is a journey of discovery on which I am just another member of the crew. So come equipped with an open mind and a desire to share it.
