Imagery

Imagine a coffee cup.  Now imagine the coffee cup rotate slowly in a circle.  When you think about it, the number and types of things we can do in images are almost unimaginable.  Here at the CCPL, we study the qualities of images and their transformations.  Unfortunately, studying images is not simple.  Simply put, your images are just that - yours.  Not mine.  I can't directly observe them, so how can I study them?  We study images in the same way that physicists study particles that are too small to see.  Physicists look for the effect of the too-small-to-see particles on the large-enough-to-see particles.  Similarly, we look at the effect of images on your behavior.  So come join us in the lab for an imaginary cup of coffee and a very real discussion of imagery.
