Detection of Multidimensional StimuliAll stimuli are multidimensional. For example, a visual stimulus has a shape, color, luminance, size, location, etc. Here at the CCPL we are researching how these dimensions interact to create our perception of the stimulus. Much of our research is focused on two areas: (1) understanding dimensional interaction in the perception of visual stimuli and (2) the creation of new methodological and statistical techniques to study dimensional interaction. This research emphasizes math modeling and is therefore not for the weak of character. But then again, what research is? |
