CSC 105 Intro to Computers

Instructions for submitting an assignment on Blackboard/Vista

This is very important: you will need to allow pop-ups for this to work.  Also, if you see a pop-up that asks about Java, choose "Run".  This is required in order to see the "My Computer" icon when trying to add an attachment to the submission.

Using MySeaPort to get to Blackboard:
  1. Goto the website http://myseaport.uncw.edu (or click on this link). 
  2. Enter your login name used for your UNCW email account (without the "@uncw.edu") and your email password
  3. Click on the "Academics" tab
  4. Click on the "Learn" link (with the icon that looks like a blacboard with "Bb" on it)
  5. Click on the "Courses" tab
  6. Locate and click on the link for "CSC-105"
After login in to Blackboard:
  1. If you are not on the "Course Content" page, then click the link on the left side called "Course Content"
  2. Click on the link for the assignment you are submitting
  3. Click on the button "Browse My Computer" in the section called "Attach File"
  4. Browse for your assignment file on the local computer, select it, and click "Open"
  5. Add a comment if you wish
  6. Press the "Submit" button
It is a really good idea for you to have a copy of your assignment on your own storage (home computer or flash disk).  If there is a problem with the submission, then you will need to resubmit. The lab computers are wiped clean everytime they reboot.  If the only copy of your assignment is on the lab computer, then it will be gone and you will have to do the assignment all over again from the beginning.
