PSY 265
Internet Projects:
Your internet project must be on a topic covered under the chapters
in the units on the test. It is due at
the beginning of class on the day of the test.
Grading: You can earn
up to 25 points.
Remember to include:
- Full
Site address (1 point). Be sure to attach a print copy of
the web site.
- Why
you chose the activity- why did it interest you? (2 points)
- In your
own words- what NEW information did you learn about the topic?(10 points)- Remember a site is often
more than one page! Make sure to
address what you learned BEYOND what we covered in class on the topic. How did the information add to information
in the text or presented in class? This summary should not be more
than one page max.
- How
current
is the information on the site? How did you determine this? (2 points)
- For
what audience do you think the site was intended? Why do you think so?
How does this relate to validity? (2
points)
- Why
was the internet an effective (or ineffective) way to learn about the
topic? Was the information in the site valid? How do you know? Was there any bias to the presentation? Go beyond the following: the authors wouldn’t give us an invalid
site to search; the info agreed with class discussion….consider this: if you just happened on the site, how
would you determine if you should believe the information???? (4 points)
- Is your
writing style clear? No typos or
grammatical errors…. (4 points)
