Individual Paper and Presentation:

You will choose one topic area related to the “elemental categories of behavior”: aggression, sex, altruism, and religion” (chapters 5-8 of OHN) OR you can pick a topic from the class list of possible topics to research further and present general conclusions to the class (10 mins) based on 2 studies on a related EP topic. Outline and annotated bibliography required for class. 4-5 page paper in APA style due at end of semester (reading day).

2. Look through issues of:

3. Look through the book Evolutionary Psychology (Buss) on reserve in Randall (under this class).

4. If you are doing a topic related to something in a SA article, check out their references. Same for OHN- although those references are older.

5. If you are following up on a topic from class discussion- check out the presenters’ other sources.

Consider these points in your paper.

1. Summarize the key points of the articles.
2. Clearly identify strong points and weaknesses in this articles.
3. Can you think of any alternative explanations for the findings?
4. Compare the articles and their conclusions to each other and to conclusions reached in your other readings.
