Compositions
FRH
orth.: orthographe. Check the spelling of the word.
conj.: conjugaison. Something is wrong with the conjugation of the verb.
g.: genre. Wrong gender.
tps.: temps. You are not using the appropriate tense. Review when to use passé composé, as opposed to imparfait, and plus-que-parfait.
acc.: accord. Check the agreement of the adjective, past participle, etc.
voca.: vocabulaire. The word you are using is not precise enough, or is not appropriate for the context. Check your dictionary for options and pick the one which corresponds the best to what you want to say.
x: a word is missing. Usually a short word: a preposition, an article, a conjunction, etc.
?: I’ve tried but really don’t understand what you’re saying. Think of another way of saying the idea you want to express.
rephrase: I understand what you’re trying to say but there are many problems with the syntax of your sentence. You’re perhaps translating word for word and that doesn’t work.
Think of using expressions and grammatical structures you know in French. Think in French, not in English!
