Choisissez un sujet. (Both are based on Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain)

1.       You are a waiter/waitress (Amélie?) at the Café des Deux Moulins in Paris.

It’s 12:30 and a hungry (French-speaking American?) customer comes in and asks countless questions about the menu (and the restaurant). Answer politely and serve the customer.

2.       In order to cook a sumptuous dinner for friends, you are shopping at your favorite épicerie, the Marché de la Butte.

Ask Collignon (or Lucien) about the fruit and vegetables, their prices, where they come from, how fresh they are, etc. What do you end up buying?
