SED 360                                Curriculum and Instruction Project                   Dr. Steele

 

 

1.         Divide a notebook, diskette, or files into sections representing the following subjects: oral language; reading; literature; written language; mathematics; science; social studies; content instruction; study skills; learning strategies; social, emotional, and behavioral development.  Additional subjects such as art, music, physical education and computer skills may be included.

 

2.         The contents should cover at least grades K-12 and include resources for students with all types of learning problems who are in the general curriculum.

 

3.         Each section should include the following topics:

 

 

a.         Scope and sequence

b.                  NC Standard Course of Study

c.         Recommendations for general education teachers

d.         Recommendations for special education teachers

e.         Methods and materials for general education teachers

f.          Methods and materials for special education teachers

g.         Strategies from class presentations

h.         Remediation strategies

i.          Compensation strategies

j.          Technology

k.         Related websites

l.          Additional topics such as bulletin boards, parents, collaboration, and                           diversity may be included

 

4.         A bibliography of resources and references used for this project is also required.
