1998

Early Childhood Conference--planned and implemented a conference, “Creating a Child Centered Environment” for parents and child care providers. This conference was sponsored by Watson School of Education with a focus on the lives and learning of young children and their families.  A variety of sessions filled with stimulating ideas and practical information beneficial to parents and educators working with children birth to kindergarten were planned.  Over 75 parents and educators attended the conference.
 

1997

Consultant, provided consultation through a series of guidelines in the local newspaper (Morning Star) for parents, emphasizing the importance of early education and what factors to consider when selecting preschools for their young children.  This article was also published in Santa Barbara News-Press, 1998.
